San Antonio – Day 3

Super late night after the game so Mark had wisely made our brunch reservation at 1:00pm at a nearby spot called Luke, owned by John Besh.  (Full review on the B&K site soon). It was a big, delicious meal.

We then wandered in a new direction towards Market Square, first passing by the San Fernando chapel where the heroes of the Alamo are buried.  Also home to what JJ deemed the ugliest Christmas Tree ever:

Market Square was the original Farmers Market area, now home to random shops, food stands, street performers and stalls of imported goods.  It was great to walk around in the warm sunshine.  We finished up our night wandering bars on the river walk, and then had a final great dinner at Boudro’s (review to come), featuring another prickly pear margarita and guacamole made tableside:

On the way home we snapped some late night photos at the Alamo:

Cities visited post-Olympics:

I have a theory that it is great to visit a city right after they host an Olympics because everything is new & upgraded, with improved mass transit. Here's the ones I've made it to so far: Barcelona - Atlanta - Sydney - Athens - Salt Lake - Vancouver

For their complete and utter lack of logic and customer service, you should avoid frequenting these businesses: Cafe Venus * Mesa Grill * Swoon * Tacos Guaymas (Greenlake location) * Trophy Cupcakes
